My father (the patient, with rapidly deteriorating dementia) and mother (with early dementia) were refused a family discharge planning meeting after Dad had spent some weeks in BWPH. The meeting was requested because the hospital's discharge planners had provided only verbal advice to my mother, who was confused and forgot the information, so she could not pas it on to her children who were trying to ensure adequate support was in place. When we asked the Geriatrician what support he would provide for Dad after discharge my brother and I were told that he never wanted to see either of our parents again. Dad was discharged without a referral being made for an ACAT assessment of Mum and Dad's needs at home. It was appalling, particularly as the doctor has a very good reputation for providing good quality care.

The staff are amazing people who always have time for the patients in a non judgemental way Greg does a brilliant job in running the place and I would recommend Dr Nadeem Anwar to any of NY friends the best hospital on the central coast .
